Siri slow activation - iOS 10.x

On 3 devices (iPhone 5c, iPhone 6, and iPhone 7+) Siri has been much slower to activate in all iOS 10 versions (including the latest beta) compared with the final iOS 9 release. By slower to activate, I mean the time between when you press and hold the home button until Siri is ready to listen to what you are saying.

With my iPhone 5c and iPhone 6 running iOS 9, this time was usually about 1.0 to 1.5 seconds. With the release of iOS 10, this has stretched to 3 to 5 seconds -- about triple the wait time as before. iPhone 7+ is not any faster and this is still the case on the latest beta.

I was wrong to not post on this previously. It was so apparently disfunctional that I assumed it would have been fixed very quickly, but now that it hasn't, it leaves me to wonder if others have not been seeing a similar lengthening of this delay?

Am I alone on this?

I've been getting this too, about to try a restore which I'm not looking forward to as I have only 80gb free out of 256 on my iPhone 7 Plus
