off topic - safari certificate woes

Guys

seeing some weird behavior when browsing on Safari - being told that the certificate to a number of sites amongst them 'http://www.theguardian.com/uk' has issues:

I am getting this when I inspect the cerificate:

  • Global Sign Root CA
  • GlobalSign Organization Validation - SHA256 - G2
  • i.ssl.fastly.net
  • This certificate has an invalid issuer

The weird thing is that my iMac that I occasionally use and is on the same network and the same DNS settings goes happily to the sites in question without any issues with certifcates. In fact the same certifcate but it states that the user is valid.

What gives?

Latested macOS 10.12 and safari -

cheers & thanks

FWIW: I have exactly the same problem with the same website. Can't figure out what is going on.

I also have the same problem with the same website (The Guardian and also 500px). 😟

Running OS 10.12.1 and Safari 10.0.1

Try this. It worked for me and I was having exactly the same problem with the same certificate.

And just in case you're as clueless as me (which I doubt, but hey, there's a chance...), this helped me too because I had no idea about Terminal either...

Good luck.
