I found CH340 Usb Serial no work in macOS Sierra 10.12 Beta (16A304a), including Arduino and NEJE Laser printer.

...

I try to do this :

  • Reboot and press CMD+R immediately after the chime to enter Recovery Mode
  • Open Terminal from Recovery mode
  • run the command csrutil enable --without kext
  • reboot

Still not work ! The CH340 drive not right installed.

i have the same problem :/ ,I need to use a arduino nano and my Mac with mac os sierra is rebooted when i plug in the arduino, if you find a driver that works public the link here, and if I get it I'll do the same

I UNDERSTAND.

The use of a Fresh Roast SR700 Coffee Roaster also crashes Sierra because of this CH340 chip usb/serial driver incompatibilty too.

No luck working around this yet.

For now, this is a very tragic!

Another datapoint here:

  • macOS Sierra (10.12)
  • MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2012)
  • CH340G (on a Wemos D1 mini)

Plugging into the Mac leads to an immediate crash and reboot.

Same problem after update to macOS Sierra, need it for development on Arduino AVR GCC and different modules.
That is the problem now, on 10.11 i have searched a half a year for the right drive for macOS. And now the same problem again.

Is this a problem from Apple or from the driver developer!!!!!!!!!!!??????????

Have anyone a solution for this driver.

Same problem here. Kernel crash after connecting my Arduino. 😠

Same problem. 😟

There's a temporary (beta) solution:

I had the same issue with an Arduino, using the CH340G chip. This was fixed by uninstalling the driver and installing an updated version - you can find a compatible driver & instructions here: https://github.com/adrianmihalko/ch340g-ch34g-ch34x-mac-os-x-driver

Same problem here.

Macbook Pro 15"Retina Display (Mid-2014)
