Changes to the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) coming in iOS 10 and tvOS 10

iOS 10 and tvOS 10 will provide stronger protections for user privacy when a user chooses to enable the Limit Ad Tracking preference on their device. Starting with iOS 6, developers have been able to use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) in connection with serving advertisements. Now, with iOS 10 and tvOS 10, when users enable Limit Ad Tracking on a device, the device's Advertising Identifier value will reset to zero, limiting developers’ ability to perform ad tracking, as well as related activities, for example frequency capping and conversion events.

To learn more about using the Advertising Identifier, see the ASIdentifierManager reference.
