xcode active scheme default


Is there a way to set a default "active scheme"? Every time I open a project it defaults to "iphone 6s plus" even though the projects are saved with different schemes. Thanks.

Similar in Xcode 9 which always starts with iPhone8 plus.

Ditto. Annoying when you miss it and have to wait for the simulator you *want* to build, after building the 8 Plus simulator you *don't* want.
