How to solve "Could not find Developer Disk Image"?

How to solve "Could not find Developer Disk Image" dialog box in Xcode so I can distribute my apps to the iPhone and Watch?


Earlier, there was a seperate version of the OS for the Developer that you could mount but things have changed since then.

Normally that error is caused by trying to use an Xcode version that is older than the OS version running on the device. If you have installed the latest and greatest beta OS on the device, then you need to connect it to the corresponding newer beta of Xcode at least once to install the developer disk image. After that you should be able to use it with your older Xcode.
