Using Xcode 6 to build and submit once Xcode 7 is released

Hello,

I have an iOS app written in Swift 1.2 using Xcode 6.4, and I need to submit an update in the coming days.

I know Xcode 7 and Swift 2.0 have been GM'ed and are just about to be released to the public.

Once Xcode 7 is out, will I still be able to submit a Swift 1.2 app compiled with Xcode 6.4, or will Apple force me to update to Xcode 7 and Swift 2.0?

I know I'll have to update to Swift 2.0 very soon, but I'd rather not do this in the midst of closing QA on an update to my app that I want to get into my user's hands asap...

Thanks,

Pascal Bourque

In the past, Apple has allowed older Xcode versions to be used for submittal - as an example, Xcode 5.1.1 was very recently still being noted as the minimum version allowed.

Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like I won't have to worry about Swift 2.0 this week. 🙂
