Unknown error when logging in to Mac App Store on El Capitan Beta

I'm having trouble signing in to the Mac App Store: 'unable to log in. An unkown error occured' (in dutch).


I've tried these things:

* moved the preferences files (.plist) to the desktop.

* rebooted the system (and PRAM reset)

* created a new user account on OS X El Capitan; same problem

* changed network Location

* checked date and time


Is reinstalling the public beta the only option?

Logging in with a different AppleID works. So just my own AppleID gives the error.

Looks like it has something to do with my AppleID not my Mac.

Ok, i figured it out.

It has something to do with your Apple ID's two-step verification,

so turn it off.


- visit appleid.apple.com and login with your apple id. (probably using 2 step verification)

- left side : 'security' something (mine is dutch too)

- turn of two step verification.


after a reboot i was able to log in to the Mac App Store and also iCloud again!

I'm turning 2stepverification on again after I installed the official release. 🙂

No turning of option for two-step verification.
