My app id can't be used

Hi all,


I'm trying to create my app id, but both xcode and the web version say that it's taken. It's my own reverse domain name and I already have an app using this domain, but with a different prefix. I can't see how anyone else has it. For example, if I had com.example.*** and I'm trying to register com.example.YYY, but com.example.YYY is coming back as taken.


I can't contact support either when selecting the right support section. No options come up.


Any ideas?

Hi ghenry, there's no such thing as "my own reverse domain name", because there's no way to claim a portion of the reverse domain name, only a full app id. So, you couldn't claim all of "com.example", only "com.example.YYY". Having one of your apps using "com.example" doesn't give ownership of all app ids that start with that.

Depending on the reverse domain, it's certainly possible someone else is already using it.
