Beta6 - Amazon pages have no products?

Interesting... Updated to beta6 earlier today. Safari Version 9.0 (11601.1.43).

Tonight I went to look for something on Amazon.com and no product results show up. I disabled all extensions, same problem. Works fine in other browsers.

So, has Apple now got a problem with Amazon so that they don't want us shopping there? 🙂

Must be something to do with your system, Amazon is working fine for me 🙂

You very likely have your network DNS set to the Google DNS 8.8.8.8 - the update must have changed it for some reason.

Change it back to your router IP and Amazon should be back in business 🙂.

I've had Google's DNS servers set up for a long time now without problems... So is it Google that hates Amazon? 🙂 I'm at work this morning, not using Gogole's DNS, and it is working fine. And why did it work with other browsers, they don't have their own DNS... Very strange, but at least it isn't a more general software fault. LoL

Okay, then perhaps it's related to Safari's DNS prefetching ...

If you're so inclined when you get home, you can test this theory by closing Safari and disabling the setting with:

defaults write com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled -boolean false

And if it turns out I'm off-base then you can set it back on again with:

defaults write com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled -boolean true

I saw this yesterday with PB3, too, so it's not limited to Beta6. It fixed itself later, so I just assumed it was Amazon having issues.
