Applescript for Pges - How to get start and end index of specific word ?

Using applescript how we can find range of text or start and end index (position) of text. Is pages support range using applescript? If supports how we can calculate the range please provide some example. Thanks in advance

You can check the Mac Automation Scripting Guide, more specifically the example in how you can Manipulate Text

Also for Pages specifically you can look into the Scripting Dictionary and find all the text elements supported by the iWork Text Suite
