expired certificate can apps distributed ad-hoc still run

I've a number of apps, distributed (ad-hoc) via diawi, and my existing dev cert is about to expire, will those apps still be runnable by my clients when the current cert expires, or will I need to renew my cert and rebuild/distribute those apps?

No, if your Apple Developer Program membership is valid, your existing apps on the App Store will not be affected. However, you will no longer be able to upload new apps or updates signed with the expired or revoked certificate to the App Store.

Hi thanks I'm aware of that for my apps on the app store, but I asked about apps I have previously distributed ad-hoc via www.diawi.com

As long as the profile -and- account are both valid, an ad-hoc app will be allowed to open on a device. If either has expired, apps in your example will not run, and your clients will no longer be able to test them.
