I'm using the Status notification update webhook in my web service to get notified about subscription in-app purchases.
Recently a new field called 'unified_receipt' got introduced into the webhook's response body, detailed here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreservernotifications/responsebody
Now, the preferred way is to use this field, because the other ones will be deprecated, but while receiving multiple hundred notification update daily, it happens around once a week, that this 'unified_receipt' field is missing from the response.
What causes this issue, and how should this be handled?
