TestFlight is currently unavailable. Try again later.

This seems to be a problem that crops up fairly often. How does one overcome it?

When firing up TestFight I get shut down immediately with a screen telling me that it is unavailable. Theoretically, it should show a list of apps to which I have been invited to test.

I can gain access to the app in TestFlight by deleting the email from the list of testers, then re-adding it (thus re-generating an invite email). Checking on the link in the invite gets me to the screen that prompts me to install the app. Attempting to install results in the infamous "Could not install [NAME_OF_APP]. TestFlight is currently unavailable. Try again later."

Re-starting the phone, uninstalling and re-installing TestFlight... none of this resolves the issue. Removing the email yet again from the beta testers list, then re-adding and clicking on the email invite link also does not help.

Okay. When is later? Is this an issue with TestFlight, my app, or both? Or is it an issue with the phone or perhaps my account? What can I do to push past this?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

An update on this: I was able to add a different user on a totally different device; TestFlight behaves completely normally with that account on that phone. So this is likely an account / device issue.

Any suggestions as to why this is occurring or how it can be resolved would be appreciated.

Previous posts on this subject mentioned logging out from one's iTunes account, logging back in, and firing up TestFlight.

I have attempted this as well; this does not resolve the issue. I'm using an iPhone 7 w/iOS v13.3.1. The other device that was successful in downloading and installing the app was an iPhone SE (unsure of OS version).
