Safari APNs

I've used this link for intergrating with Safari APNs.

I've read this won't be supported as of November 2020 (source).

I've tried using the new HTTP/2 API, but when I submit a deviceToken/deviceId results in an error message "deviceToken is not valid".

Is Safari APNs the only exception to the new HTTP/2 API?
