Including a directory as a search path during compilation with CocoaPods

I asked this question on Stackoverflow already, but it doesn't seem to be getting much attention. Sorry if it's not the "done thing" linking externally. I'd be happy to copy and paste the question here if that's preferable.

I'd greatly appreciate any Cocoapods experts reproducing my problem via the GitHub repo and providing a workaround that involves only modifying the

ios/repro_cocoapods_issue.podspec
