Engaging HDR10 on a TV?

I'd like to test out the latest EDR functionaltiy in Metal, and I have the following hardware:

* MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019)

* LG C8 (TV supporting both HDR10 and DVLL)

* Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter (A2119)

* Catalina Beta

* Xcode Beta

I've successfully engaged 3840x2160@60Hz (10bpc), so this hardware setup is certainly capable. In my mind the only real remaining step here is to have macOS engage the proper color space and EOTF (BT.2020 + PQ) on the TV, and offer me a means to set the color profile on the LG C8 display to correspond, and I should be able to pass through HDR content from a CAMetalLayer with a proper color space set.

This web page suggests this is possible:

"It also supports HDR video in HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats when connected to a compatible playback device and display, TV, or projector."

The LG C8 is quite capable of receiving both HDR10 and Dolby Vision signals, and as shown above, 4K@60@10bpc shows I have sufficient bandwidth and HDMI 2.0. Is this just not supported in Catalina yet? Do I need to install some additional beta package and/or extra ICC profiles? Any help would be appreciated.

Just to close the loop here, it looks like the April 2nd update added HDR checkbox necessary to engage this properly:

I am now seeing maxEDR values exceeding 1 on my TV, and my TV is reporting that HDR is engaged.
