FX volatility

We want to sell an IAP product for $X. As product will be available in all territories we plan to use Apple's feature to convert the prices in local currency.

Question #1 is whether Apple will recalculate the local prices automatically in case of FX volatility and how they are handling the price increase in case they auto adjust local prices? Do they ask for an approval from existing users?

Question #2 for consumable products, can we override the local prices for territories manually in case we notice FX rate volatility? If yes, how we can do that?

Thanks.

Apple sets a price point for each tier in every local currency. They can change that price point for each tier if the currency exchange rates change - but they do that very rarely.

You can certainly detect the locale of the user's App Store (priceLocale) and adjust the number of consumable products required to obtain a specific end point within your app. I don't believe that will violate any guideline but you may need to explain to App Review what and why you are doing it.
