text to voice using AVSpeechSynthesizer coding in swift app running the code on an iPhone

Using AVSpeechSynthesizer with xcode in Swift and running my app on the MACBook plays back voice automatically. When I download the app to my IPhone and run the same app, it requires me to swipe two fingers down from the top of the screen to get the IPhone to play back. Any ideas what I should do?

I am the author above and would like to clarify my question. "Any idea what I should do in my swift code so that it doesn't require the user on the Iphone to swipe two fingers down?"
