iMessage App not responding in Catalina

Hello!


I recently updated my iMac (late 2015) to macOS Catalina and have lost function of iMessage.


The application will not respond (color wheel spins indefinitely), so I cannot even get to the menu or settings screen.


iMessage is crucial to me on a daily basis, so I need to get it working.


Please advise if you have any ideas how I can get this App up and running again.

Seeing the same issue. Working fine on iOS/iPadOS beta.

Same here folks....


MBA Mid 2012, brand new install of macOS Catalina (V 10.15), and :

- iPhone visible on Finder;

- "Settings / Internet Accounts / iCloud" showing pretty much everything pretty much equal as on my other Mac which is a MBP Early 2013 running macOS Mojave (V10.14.6);


Both iMessage and Facetime are working just fine on my iPhone, iPad and on my MBP Early 2013 running macOS Mojave.


BUT, if I try to login to either iMessage or Facetime Apps in order to get them configured and running, it's like it's going nowhere. No errors, no messages, nothing to troubleshoot or search for.


Very annoying.
