Problem with installing Xcode 10.1

Hi all,

Iam fairly new to coding and Xcode, but my problem arise when trying to open Xcode. I get a message saying that i need to "install additional required components". My only option is "Quit" and "Install".

After clicking install, the installation bar starts but after 2 seconds I get the following message: "An unknown error has occurred. See the installation log for more details".

I have also tried with Xcode 10. But when i unzip the file i get an error message saying the file is damaged and cannot be unzipped.

Iam running a MacBook Air 2010 with High Sierra. I have 51,75GB free space.

Hopefully you are able to help me get over this bad start so i finally can get started with my app.

Thank you,

Frode

What does the installation log says ?

Is it the release version or a beta ?

Did you try to do a complete reinstall of XCode, after downloading the new vesrion ? And install 10.2 instead ?
