How do I block cameras when using MDM BYOD on iOS 13 devices? (Without using the Apple business manager (DEP))

I think this will not be possbile for BYOD aka User Enrollment.

You don't have access to the device in this situation.

The MDM is limited to the BYOD container.

This is the approach of BYOD.

If you want to access more, you must use Device Enrollment.

With or without DEP or supervised devices.

How did you enrolled via BYOD with the current beta version?

Since beta 6 it does not work anymore for us.

Now iOS 13 is released, but the camera is still blocked through MDM even though BYOD.

Does anyone know if allow camera feature supports iOS 13?

The MDM solution from Hexnode enables you to deny users from using the camera on any iOS devices. You just need to,

1. Enroll the devices into the Hexnode server

2. Create an MDM policy for restricting the “camera” functionality

3. Push the policy to the target devices. And you’re done!

The software also lets you block the camera feature on iOS 13 devices in a BYOD environment.
