Unable to empty trash in Mail.

Is anyone else having difficulty with emptying trash in the mail program? With all of my email accounts I average a few thousand spam mails a day. I am unable to empty the trash for individual accounts or as a whole. If I delete all they stay there in the selection screen, but that actual content is deleted. After a week I have something like 15000 junk emails that I can not delete.

I had the same :-(


I deleted the Mail App and reinstalled it, Bin Folder is now empty. I just can't get rid of a mail in the Archive Folder :-(

Have you logged into your iCloud account on a computer and tried deleting some emails from there? Check the mail app afterward and see if it had any impact.
