I need to generate a new developer distribution certificate.

I do not need to generate a Push certificate.

My developer account certificate is about to expire and I need to generate a new one.

Go to Account/Member Center/Certificates, IDs & Profiles and follow the walk thru. Just keep in mind that if you generate a new one now, it won't be valid beyond when your account expires, in which case the process starts with renewing your account.
