Factory reset after update?

I did the update to WatchOS 6.0.
The watch rebooted but my iphone got stuck in the SoftwareUpdate screen.
After a while it displays that the software is up to date.

Now my problem / question:

I have no exit or finish button or something like this.

The only button I have is Cancel.

When I press cancel a dialog appears with two options:

Finish update?

your apple watch will be decoupled and reset to factory settings.

Button 1: Close and reset Apple watch

Button 2: Continue Update

Is this right or went something wrong?

I restarted watch and phone, but when I start the watch app on the phone,

the software update reappears.

The watch seem to work without problems.

My watch and phone are running in german language,

so the above texts are translated and may differ from original english ones.

ok, I made complete reset on the watch and started new installation and pairing.

The first time if failed, but the second time I succeeded

Sorry, can't answer your question. I have one if you don't mind. I can't even install the profile; keeps saying can't connect to the watch. Have Series 4 and iPhone Max running IOS 13. How did you install the profile? Thanks

That is a good question. is it possible to re install dev profile to get a beta after restart Apple Watch when the watch is not paired?

I had the same issue and opted to cancel. Don't recommend it - this seemed to cause the phone to unpair from the watch, and the watch to then be rest to needing to be paired with a phone.

Unfortunately, since the phone is still on ios 12.x, it can't re-pair with the watch, so now the watch is stuck in an usable, unpaired state.
