What happens when a safari extension certificate expires

Hello,

My Safari extension certificate is about to expire so I am going to have to generate a new one.

However do I have to rebuild the ".safariextz" file for my extension?

Do I even have to resubmit to the extenson gallery as if I have made changes to it?

Or do I leave it and do nothing until I next make changes to the extension and want to update it in the extension gallery?

Thanks,

Martin

As long as your extension certificate was valid at the time of signing, you should be okay when your certificate expires.

You won't be able to sign new version of your extension without a new certificate, but existing installs will continue to work.
