This is regarding the development of commercial HomeKit accessories with software authentication.
While pairing the accessory an alert popup to the user that this accessory has not been MFi certified using software authentication mechanism (token and UIID) and I assume its fine while development.
With such software authentication implementation on my device, I'm able to pair my accessory with the HomeKit Accessory Tester(HAT).
However, while Pairing with Native home App it logs below message:
"Uncertified Accessory. This accessory cannot be used with HomeKit" and my accessory won't get added.
So is this behavior because of Token validation?
Because pairing works fine on both HAT and Native Home app when I use hardware MFi Chip for the Authentication.
Unless you're working w/BLE, this is going to be an MFi question, best put to DTS via one of your MFi Program support tickets vs. here in public/devForums.
