XCode 10 Slows Down My Computer Really Bad

Hi,

I'm currently using XCode 10.1 and Mojave 10.14.2 and it's driving me crazy, it slows my computer down to a point that it is unusable. Before I upgraded to XCode 10 I was running the same project on XCode 9 and High Sierra without any problems and with only half of the memory it currenly has (8GB of Ram). I now have upgraded the memory to 16GB and but it didn't make a difference.

FYI - I don't think the slow down has to do with Mojave 10.14.2 since I was experiencing the same issue with High Sierra and XCode 10, which is the reason I upgraded to Mojave thinking that XCode 10 would run smoother in the newest operating system.

Here are the specs of my compter:

1TB fusion drive.

Here is what I see in Activity Monitor:

Any idea what could be wrong?

Thanks

Those aren't specs, that is just a screen shot from "About this Mac". It shows you have a 21" iMac circa 2012. Does that thing even have an SSD?

Xcode 10 is slow even on a new machine with a 3000 MB/s SSD.

I uninstalled and reinstalled XCode and so far it seemed to fix the issue. By the way, the "Thing" does have a 1TB Fusion drive.
