xcode 10 change navigator fonts. To much eye strain

Its easy to change the text editor fonts and zoom in and out when using the text editor. The problem I have is all the other fonts are too small. I get terrible eye strain. using the Mac accessiblity screen zoom does not work well. It makes the fonts bigger how ever they are very fuzzy

thanks in advance

Andy

p.s. google search shows this has been a problem for a very long time. I would think this would a very easy thing for the xcode team to fix.

Which navigator are you speaking about ? The name in project navigator ?

If so, did you file a bug for enhancement ?

Hi Claude

In general I would like to be able to control the font size for all of xcode not just the editor.

I have not filed a bug. I have been using xcode for 10 years. This has always been a well known problem.

I was hoping this might be been resolved in the latest release

Andy

Surely not a bug, but could file a request for improvement.

Did you try to change at system level, for larger text ?

  1. Go to the  Apple menu and choose “System Preferences”
  2. Go to the “Display” preference panel, then to the “Display” tab

    For Retina Display Macs:

    1. Next to the “Resolution” section, choose “Scaled”
    2. Select “Larger Text”

Then, you should reduce the font size of XCode text to return to a normal size for editors.

  • This is a good temporary solution, but it's a troublesome to change the displays's resolution back and and forth just when using Xcode.
