Where can I find more information on Mojave hiding installed fonts from browsers as a security measure?

Hello,

I have a web app that has been running for more than 7 years. It has a simple Flash script that gets the list of visitors' installed fonts and generates font previews in the browser helping people choose the right fonts for their projects.

After the Mojave update the Flash script would only list default system fonts in Safari, but still works on Firefox and Chrome although some users are reporting that it doesn't.

Where can I find more technical information about this security feature? I'd like to understand if this security measure is only on Safari, and if I can turn it on and off for debugging purposes. I couldn't find anything beyond the marketing copy for this. I am hoping someone can guide me towards the right direction.

Thanks so much.
