I have a sample app built and want to show it to other people for review. Can I somehow place a direct download link on my website so they can just download the app from my website? or do they have to go to app store?
this app is nothing commercial only for demonestraion purposes.

Apple does not provide a distribution method that supports your scheme - it's just not that simple.
If you have a paid account, you can push a build to TestFlight, then choose to have those users operate as internal or external testers. External requires the app go thru review.
