TestFlight Public Link

Hello guys,

Does anybody know when the new TestFlight Public Link feature will be released? When presented at WWDC it was said this summer and on the Appstore Connect website it says coming soon.

It would considerably simplify my testing work flow.

Thank you and I am looking forward to getting any input on this issue.

Hi ! Same here, I’ve been waiting for it. iOS 12 has been officially released. But no sign of TestFlight public links... Hope it’ll be released very soon!

App Store Connect now shows a "Public Link" box when looking at specific Test Group, however , I can't

see a way to add a build to it.

I think you have to add a build to the speicic group of testers before a public link will become available. If you select "Builds" to the right of the "Testers" link inside that group, you should be able to go thru the flow of getting the build ready (changelog, login info for Apple, etc) and then after review, I think it should be eligible to be added to the list of builds that a public link can target. Educated guess.

hi, select your group of testers, inside there are a option to enabled the public link

This option does not exist. None of these steps work, nothing shows up. There are no guides.

Useless and inaccurate:

As an experiment, I created a group and did not add any users.

  • Selected the group, then selected the invisible tab with "Builds".
  • Then was able to select a build.
  • Went back to Testers, still shows no builds. I have a build fully processed, I was actually able to easily install it with TestFlight, however, many of my testers have no idea how to do this so a public link makes sense.
  • No option to Enable anything.

Read this:

https://developer.apple.com/testflight/

"To take advantage of TestFlight, first upload a beta build of your app in App Store Connect. Then add the names and email addresses of people you’d like to test your app or enable a public invitation link in the TestFlight section of your app's page in App Store Connect."

What section? Where in the TestFlight section? Doesn't exist.

So... hmm....

I've noticed a lot of fake information floating on developer websites like this post and other websites like stackoverflow. So hmmm again!....

I found an Medium post with screenshots! :-) Hope it helps someone else https://medium.com/@abhimuralidharan/testflight-public-beta-invite-links-ios-beta-testing-made-simple-97d2023791d0
