Xcode creates big folder in ~Library

Hi there,

I'm a newbie in Xcode and App Development and have only a "Hello World" App and two Playgrounds.

But unfortunately Xcode creates a really big folder in my User Library named "Developer". At time it is 4 GB big and it is still growing. In this folder there are the folders "CoreSimulator", "Xcode" and "XCPGDevices".

Why Xcode creates this folder? What it is good for?

Is there a way to decrease this folder in Xcode Preferences or can I delete it "by hand"?

I'm also cutting movies so I need a lot of disk storage. And when it grows up and up with no ending at some time my storage is full.

So I hope you can help me!

Best regards!

Xcode 9.4.1

MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6
