App removed from sale

Hi.

My app has been rejected for having been identified as one that may violate App Store Review Guidelines:

Apple says :

- In order to reduce fraudulent activity on the App Store and comply with government requests to address illegal online gambling activity, we are no longer allowing gambling apps submitted by individual developers. This includes both real money gambling apps as well as apps that simulate a gambling experience. As a result, this app has been removed from the App Store. While you can no longer distribute gambling apps from this account, you may continue to submit and distribute other types of apps to the App Store."

- Going forward only verified accounts from incorporated business entities may submit gambling apps for distribution on the App Store. Visit the Enrollment page to learn more about enrolling an organization in the Apple Developer Program. For information on transferring an app to another developer account, please review the App transfer overview page in App Store Connect Developer Help.

- As a reminder, the App Store Review Guidelines state that it is your responsibility to ensure your app complies with all legal requirements in any location where you make it available. Submitting apps designed to mislead or harm customers or evade the review process may result in the termination of your Apple Developer Program account. Review the Terms & Conditions of the Apple Developer Program to learn more about our policies regarding termination.

I’ve been publishing iOS apps for many years. I’ve always followed Apple’s guidelines and I never had any issues before, but somehow this ambiguous rejection started.

Anyone had this kind of problem before? How can I solve it?

Thanks

Seems pretty clear if you read their message. You’ll need a company account. Transfer the app to that account and resubmit.

Hello junkpile,

Thanks for the quick reply...

Are you talikng about the apple developer enterpise program? coorect me if i'm wrong in that as of now we have an individual developer account.

One more thing it's the only way to use enterprise program account then resubimt the app and there is no need to change anything from code side correct...

Thanx

No! He means the app will have to be submitted by a registered company that's in the gambling business. You'll basically need to give up on that app due to the new rules.

No. A company account (or organization account) is a $99/annum account similar to an individual account, except the enrollee has to have incorporation papers and a DnB/DUNS number. You can switch from an individual account to a company account by contacting Apple, and having the appropriate legal documents handy for a corporation under your ownership and legal control.

See: https://developer.apple.com/support/enrollment/ for details.

Thank you for your instruction. We had a pusoy card game (just simulating gambling, not real money) and got rejected since August 09. Now that we created an organization account and transfer the removede from sale apps to new account then submit it. However, Apple still rejects it as copycat. Have you published the apps successfully yet? Could you share with us.

Thank you so much in advance
