How to disable rulers

Hi,

I have accidentally enabled rulers in Safari. They only appear when devtools are opened and I don't know how I enabled them so I don't know how to disable them. Can someone help me? I'm using macOS 10.14, so maybe this is only a beta feature.

Thanks,

Michal

I don't know the keyboard shortcut, but I found that in the Web Inspector, under the Elements tab, you can click on an invisible button, just before the Print button from the upper right toolbar. If you move your mouse just before the Print button, the Show Rulers tooltip should appear.

It seems that Apple has ingeniously added a visible ruler icon--which no longer turns off the ruler. Arg! The toggle turns it on but does not disable the auto-hide/show function, which DRIVES ME NUTS. I'm troubleshooting a 10-px-wide element that becomes entirely obscured by the ruler each time I hover or select the element tag. It's wild to me that we have to essentially use Chome in order to develop sites for Safari.
