How to handle fake reviews

Hi everyone,
This may be a bit off-topic, but the last couple of weeks we've had an influx of fake reviews.
It seems that all we can do is to report our concern to Apple view the dev response form.
I'm wondering if there is a more effective way to handle them?
Thanks

Given Apple has the control, best to wait for the process to happen.

Otherwise, as has been suggested here in the past, don't read reviews.

Apple won't do anything about bad reviews, even if they contain blatant lies. They may remove reviews if they contain obscene or threatening language, but that's about it. The only time I've had a review successfully removed is when one user somehow managed to post two reviews for the same app version using the same username.

I suspect that some devs see reviews removed where the 'user' was a serial offender, and everything they posted was purged, whether a given dev logged a complaint or not.

It may take reports from more than one dev to trigger a purge, as well, so...

The reviews we clasify as 'fake' contain nothing but blatant lies.
Thankfully we have a high traffic blog so we can (and will) name & shame.
