Display on MacBook 2018 stays black after wake from sleep

After closing the lid on MacBook Pro 2018 2.6 i7 it goes to sleep. AFter maybe an hour or so if i open the lid, i can see the keyboard light turn on. Then the touch bar also light up. How ever the display remains dark. The only way to get it working again is to force shut it down.

I have the same issue.

Same here.

Haven't seen this with a fully maxed out Macbook pro 2018

mine did the whole black screen thing but only with ext drive attached i think.

I haven't experienced this, but as soon as I got Mojave setup on my 2018 i9, I reset the SMC and PRAM. Have you tried that?

Just had this experience for the first time yesterday. Fix was to shut down and restart. Has only happened once.

I have consistently had this issue on my 2018 i9. I just shut it down and am waiting for beta 5 in hopes that it will fix it along with the screen dimming issue.

Fixed in beta 5

Confirmed Beta 5 so far has fixed a lot of issues. The sleep wake and brightness control for 2018 MacBook Pro has been resoleved.
