Screen brightness

On my 2018 MacBook Pro the screen brightness cannot be adjusted. I can use the Touch Bar controls and the onscreen indicator shows that it works but the brightness stays at full, and if I use the controls again it is reset to full.

same here no change in screen brightness either.

This is a known issue with the DP4 release:

On 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (2018) models, graphics processes run only on

the discrete GPU in macOS Mojave beta 4. Adjusting screen brightness settings might not

take effect, and external displays might not light up. (42054488)

same here. exactly as you describe.

Same here on my 2018 MBP 15'. Installed beta4 yesterday.

My screen has booted up dark and i have no way to adjust the brightness back up, even in sys pref.

My workaround now to is to

-put OS into 'lock screen' (ctrl-CMD Q),

-close the lid,

-open the lid (screen already brighter) and login

Same set of problems on my new 6-core MBP; boots up with LCD off / dark - so have to power off and back on; I will try the lock screen workaround. Have found no solution for the brightness issue as of yet.

Interestingly, I have a 4-core MBP that is about 1 months older, running the same beta, and it works just fine.
