Integrated title bar and toolbar without hiding title UI

I'm wondering how apps like Pixelmator Pro manage to get the "Integrated title bar and toolbar" appearance without hiding the title (and associated UI)? Normally, to get that look you select Hide Title in IB (aka 

titleVisibility
on 
NSWindow
).
