Imagine an app that, for some use, contunously uses the microphone (in background) inorder to provide important information to the user. It doesn't save the audio stream; similar to an app that calculates the sound decibles of an indoor environment.
I want help visualising what would be the battery impact of such continous listening from the microphone - 'without saving', thus to be able to give the user an approximate idea of the same, before they actually download the app.
So in a way, I want to know what would be the percentage of battery juice saved when not saving the stream to stroage as opposed to when saving it, in an iPhone with 100% battery and the app in concern being the only app running in background.
Any information that can explain so will be of great value.
Thanks.
