I can't find discussion on this issue. Under High Sierra, the AU plugins don't appear in Logic for the user unless the user restarts the machine (or logs out). Apparently it happens with many other AU plugins also, but not all (?)
Does anyone know why this is happening, and the correct approach to resolve it?

I have exactly the same problem since upgrading to high Sierra
I'm not sure if the following relates 100%, but I suspect it does: When I compile an AU for the first time I get the following failure on AUVal:
...
ERROR: Cannot get Component's Name strings
ERROR: Error from retrieving Component Version: -50
(but AUval continues passing all other tests)
...
However after log out (or restart, I assume), everything is suddenly fine / AUVal succeeds completely.
