Questions about introductory pricing for in-app subscription

I am working at a company that provides music streaming service in Asia, and we are planning to adopt the introductory pricing for in-app subscription.


We have a few questions:


  • How can we test introductory pricing in the sandbox environment? Once we set a production in iTunes Connect and we start to test in in the sandbox environment, how do we know if introductory pricing is working?
  • If introductory pricing is applied on the first transaction, or every transaction in sandbox environment?
  • Since the SKProductDiscount class is introduced in iOS 11.2, what may happen is a user is using a previous version of iOS and tries to subscribe our product with introductory pricing? Does the price still work for the user? If it is true, what’s the best practice to let the users, who are using previous iOS versions, to aware that there is a introductory price for the product?
