I have a paid app in Medical. I had held free promotions occasionally a few times each for a week through setting a scheduled price change to 0 for a week, then the price will become back to previous price. However, after a recent free promotion, my app got 10 bad review with 1 star rating in 2 days, so the average staring had dropped from 4.8-5 to 2.5-3.2 depending on the geo locations of App Store. Those users who cared to comment accused me "Profiting off of a virus; Disgusting money maker in Corona crisis; War profiteering" blah blah blah. I was astonished, since there had never been a bad review or a 1-star rating at all before the end of last promotion. And I know 99% of the users had not paid the app since they got it during the free promotions that had been held once every couple of months, and I don’t really mind.Anyway, questions:1. Had you seen similar user’s backlash toward the end of a free promotion and gave 1-star rating?2. Do you have ideas about how to avoid such embarrassing situation?3. I had raised concern through App Connect to Apple’s app store team and ask for removing such bad review and rating, so far after 5 days I got no response, do you think raising concern to Apple after a user’s bad review is any useful?
