iCloud authentication issues

1) When signing into iMessage, I get an authentication error "an error occured during activation"2) When attempting to set "unlock Mac with Watch" I get "Your Mac must be signed onto iCloud..you can sign in using iCloud preferences..."but I am signed in, all the other iCloud stuff works - .i.e iCloud drive, photos, etc...I have tried signing out and back in -- but still am stymied.Any suggestions?

Apple Watch Unlock

When I toggle Apple Watch to Unlock in the security and privacy pane -- it tells me I must be signed into iCloud. Of course, I AM signed into iCloud but I still cannot get Watch to unlock to work - it just keeps asking me to sign in.Does the double tap on Watch work with this beta - that is my second question 🙂Don
