I wasn't happy about the removal of 3D Touch on iPhone but I can live without it. If Apple are removing Force Touch from future Apple Watches that is also fair enough, but the implementations they have put in place to replace the functionality in watchOS 7 beta 1 do not work in my view. I would like to hear other views on this. My main problem with it is the frequency at which my my Apple Watch now enters edit mode because of sporadic input on the display, particularly if I cross my arms. Which I then have to exit. When a device makes me have to consider how I position my body that's a product I no longer want to use. Second is the notifications list. Used to be able to clear them with a force press and a tap, now I have to scroll all the way to the top of a list and press a button. Oh wonderful. Everything else I can just about live without, the notifications I can probably put up with too. But my Apple Watch entering edit mode 10 times a day is not really acceptable. Given they are essentially removing a hardware feature from a product I have already bought I don't feel my criticism is too unfair. Can they at least being back force touch for watch face editing? or at least find another solution?
