My Mac version of Safari (14.4) has somehow lost the entire contents of its Tab Group Favorites list. The Tab Group titles are still there, but the contents of each Tab Group is empty; ie clicking on a title does nothing except rotate the disclosure symbol by 90 degrees. The Favorites list on my iPad however is still fully populated. Is there any way of forcing a resynch between the two devices so that the full list on my iPad repopulates the semi-empty list on my Mac ("semi-empty" because the titles are still there). And if I can do a resynch, how do I guarantee that the resynch is FROM my iPad TO my Mac and not the other way around (ie, so I don't end up with two empty lists)? TIA Howard

I've got a new 8GB MacBook Air, which is a lovely machine, but I'm not sure if I should really be upgrading to a 16GB model. I've been playing with Activity Monitor, and it's not hard to get Memory Usage up to 7GB or so, with a good load of Safari tabs, Xcode running smallish projects, Google Earth Pro, and a half dozen or so other apps open and running. I'm not noticing any particular slowness (that I can tell) but am not sure what other metrics I might be looking at to determine if more memory would be better. Any thoughts? TIA.

I've got an external Dell monitor attached to my M1 Big Sur MacBook Air that's rotatable. I tried swiveling the monitor into the 90° position and set the Display Preference "Rotation" to the same to let the system know, but decided ultimately that I prefer the standard landscape orientation. However while I can reset the Display Preference to 0°, it doesn't stick. Every time the machine goes to sleep and then reawakens, the monitor thinks it's still in the 90° position and I have to manually reset the Display Preference back to "Standard" (0°) again. This works until the next time my machine goes to sleep and is reawakened again. This is frustrating. There's a /Library/Preferences file called "com.apple.windowserver.displays.plist" that contains several references to the external monitor and its 90° setting, but I don't know if this file is editable and am reluctant to fiddle with it, assuming I even can. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

My airbook is getting software update notifications for Mojave 10.14.6 Developer Beta 3. This is just a day after I've installed Beta 2 for Catalina. I'm a bit confused. Isn't it unusual for Apple to be issuing a beta for the standard shipping OS so late in the game as it were? Just curious.
