I have successfully set up iCloud custom domains with a different domain, so I do know how to do this and it's not an issue with my registrar or DNS records. For one domain, I can do everything except add "John @ bergmayer.net" (spaces added just for here)--which is my actual primary personal email. First, I got an error and couldn't even add it. Now, I can add it, but can't verify the address. I thought it was because that address is already a contact method on my account, but removing that did not change anything. I suspect it may be because that email address used to be my login for iCloud, before I switched my iCloud username to just be my iCloud email address. *(This exact issue has caused problems for me before--for example, it hasn't been possible for me to subscribe to Hulu via in-app purchase because I once did, then cancelled, under the previous username, which seems to ***** whatever checks for a previous free trial or something. Naturally, both Hulu and Apple blame each other, which is depressing for the prospects of this new issue actually being resolved.)

The new feature where your phone will only charge to 80%, and stay there, only topping off to 100% right before you usually pick up your phone in the morning, is very cool. However I sometimes have insomnia and while messing with your phone at such times is almost always a very, very bad idea in general, sometimes I will put on headphones and listen to a dull podcast or lecture to go back to sleep. I am wondering if that messes up the charging algorithm, if anyone has an insight into how it works.

Since this only happens when I return to my comptuer, I assume there is some kind of bug with power-saving features? In any even my screen will be frozen, keyboard and mouse unreponsive, and the magic trackpad isn't even doing its fake click anymore. Reading the console messages is, as usual, unhelpful.

I don't know if others have seen this, and I have of course filed a bug report, but on the Catalina betas, across Macs, any mail message I delete gets duplicated in an On My Mac "Recovered Messages" folder--and I end up with an On My Mac Trash folder as well. They come back if I delete them. It's an IMAP Fastmail account. With something as specific as this it's hard to tell if it's a Catalina thing or just specific to my configuaration.
