We're lowering the price of an auto renewing subscription we have available from $11.99 to $9.99. In Apple's FAQ https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/apps/faq/In-App%20Purchases_Auto-Renewable%20Subscriptionsunder "What happens to my current subscribers if I change the price of my auto-renewable subscription?"it explicitly states that existing users will be renewed automatically at the lower price. But, when we go to schedule this price change, iTunes shows a dialog w/ the following text:You can select to apply the price change to existing subscribers who are paying the price you set in the most recent price change. Only these existing subscribers will be affected. Anyone who subscribed before the most recent price change won't be affected. We then have 2 options:Keep current price for existing subscribersApply price change to existing subscribers - Existing subscribers will have to agree to the new price before they're charged. If they don't agree, their subscriptions won't automatically renew.I'm having real trouble understanding what it's asking or why we would be forced to choose from these 2 options. Can anyone explain why a lowering of the price presents this choice, what the difference between the options is, and why users would be prompted to renew at the new price?
