I have an LG 34BK95U-W UltraFine 34" that I've been using since Jan 2019 with my 2018 MacBook Pro 15" with Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB. Installed the Catalina GM (was running 10.14 prior), and I can't get the display to work. It's a single thunderbolt cable for video and power. The power works fine, the monitor wakes up and displays the connection, but the video never appears. The MacBook Pro doesn't recognize the display in any preferences or settings that I can find. The computer does seem to "stutter" every 2 seconds, like it's got some process glitch. (any spinner pauses for a half second every 2 seconds. If the cursor is moving, it has a brief stop every 2 seconds).this only happens when the thunderbolt cable t the display is connected. unplugging the cable corrects the stutter. So it seems like some type of related video process is running, but not successfully. I can connect to the display via HDMI, just not thunderbolt 3.I have another 2018 MacBook Pro still running 10.14 and it displays video just fine using Thunderbolt 3.I've reset NVRAM and reset the SMC. No change. There is no installed software related to this display (that I've installed). JUst plug and play.I've opened a support ticket with Apple re: Feedback Assistant.
