User Profile

I would like to use Core Motion relative altitude (CMAltimeter) and accelerometer (CMMotionManager) data. I have set everything up correctly and I can access the needed data, but the permission popup never appears and also the app is not automatically terminated due to missing permission. Hence the question: is the permission from user even needed to use relative altitude and accelerometer data? Is it possible that the permission is not needed due to the fact that this information is not sensitive privacy data?
